My Work

I am a Graphic Designer and Image Maker with 25+ years of experience working with B2B and B2C clients. Currently, I currently serve as Brand Manager for Elea GmbH, a German food technologies company, while also consulting for several freelance clients.

Brand Management at Elea

I oversee Elea's design and marketing, having developed and maintained its brand identity across all collateral. My role blends creativity and strategy, ensuring our science-driven products are compellingly communicated.

I create a wide range of brand materials—infographics, illustrations, animations, films, photography, and copy—handling most production in-house. Beyond design, I lead Elea’s art direction, collaborating with filmmakers, developers, photographers, and copywriters to ensure high-quality, on-brand assets. This includes:

  • Creative Direction – Developing and presenting briefs, wireframes, and layouts

  • Video Production – Writing, storyboarding, and directing content

  • Brand Strategy – Planning, positioning, and overseeing brand evolution

  • Customer Journey – Aligning messaging with audience needs and market shifts

Working closely with R&D, sales, and business development teams, I ensure our marketing strategy is impactful, targeted, and aligned with business goals.

Freelance Work

Alongside my role at Elea, I take on select freelance projects, offering design and consultancy services.

Background

I hold a BA (Hons) in Fine Art & Fine Art History. My career began at the UK agency RADIO before transitioning to freelance, collaborating with agencies and building my client base.

2007 I co-founded Artbombers with illustrator Simon Spilsbury, creating mixed-media artwork for international clients. Our work for Paramount Comedy Channel earned an AOI Gold Award in Advertising (2009).

After years in Berlin, I returned to Bournemouth in 2015, where I live with my partner and two children, continuing my work in brand design, strategy, and visual storytelling.

Beyond the Studio

Many of my personal interests naturally align with my work. Whenever time allows, I enjoy creating simply for the sake of it—and my camera is never far from reach.

Spending time outdoors is just as important. Living near the sea and the New Forest offers endless opportunities to explore, whether hiking, walking, or just moving through the landscape. In 2023, I walked the Coast to Coast Path—an unforgettable journey—and in April 2025, I’ll take on the West Highland Way.

Whether designing, photographing, or exploring, it’s all about looking closer, appreciating the process, and finding new ways to connect with the world.
